Action Bronson cancels Osheaga 2015 performance

American rapper Action Bronson has cancelled his Osheaga performance scheduled for Saturday.

Evenko, the promoter and organizer of the Osheaga music festival in Montreal, said it was due to travel problems.

However, Bronson was a little more specific than that.

Bronson wrote a subsequent tweet saying that Montreal and Toronto fans should start a petition asking him to play.

He was presumably referring to a petition that was started in July to protest Bronson's appearance at Osheaga.

The person who started the petition said songs like his "Consensual Rape" were misogynistic and violent.

Canada Border Services Agency would not confirm whether Bronson or any American musician was prevented from entering the country on Saturday.

His performance, scheduled to take place Saturday afternoon, has been removed from the Osheaga schedule.

Mos Def and Narcy will replace Bronson.

Last month, Bronson was dropped from Toronto's NXNE festival.
