Adele has had a whirlwind few years.

In 2019, Adele announced her divorce from Simon Konecki, whom she had been with since 2011. They got married in 2018, and they have one son together, Angelo James, who was born in 2012. The divorce was finalized in early 2021, and it inspired her latest album, 30.

Then, in the summer of 2021, Adele was spotted with sports agent Rich Paul—whose clients include LeBron James—courtside at an NBA game, in a rare public appearance. Since being with Paul, Adele has seemingly gotten more comfortable with public appearances than she was when she was married.

Paul and Adele reportedly were friends before they started dating in 2021. Here's everything we know about Adele and Rich Paul so far, from the very beginning:

July 17, 2021: Adele and Rich Paul make their first public appearance together sitting courtside at an NBA finals game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns. Adele is in, as always, a glamorous ’fit that includes an printed coat and heels.

Adele's appearance alongside Paul starts rumors that the two are dating. Several days later, a source confirms to People that Adele and Rich Paul are an item and have been dating “for a few months.”

ESPN's Brian Windhorst also confirms the couple is real. “Rich Paul is at the game with Adele,” he says on his podcast, The Lowe Post, per People. “LeBron is watching the game with Adele. This is the first time that they've come out in public together.” LeBron James is one of Paul's clients.

July 22, 2021: The couple are spotted on a date in NYC. A few days later, a source tells People that Adele and Paul aren't that serious: “It's not super serious, but they're having a good time. They have mutual friends in common, so that's been nice. She's having fun and being social.”

September 19, 2021: After weeks of rumors, Adele and Rich Paul make their relationship Instagram-official. Adele shares photos of herself in an iconic Schiaparelli dress and one photo with Paul. The photos were taken for Lakers player Anthony Davis's wedding, who is another one of Paul's clients. Knowing she doesn't need to say much, she adds a simple red-heart emoji.

October 7, 2021: In an interview with Vogue, Adele finally speaks about her relationship with Paul, revealing that they were friends for a while before dating. They originally met at a party where she drunkenly joked that he should sign her as a client. “The last thing I need is someone who doesn't know where they're at, or what they want. I know what I want,” she says. “And I really know what I don't want.”

October 19, 2021: The couple make another courtside appearance to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA season-opening game. Adele wears another glam look, pairing a brown leather ensemble and Louis Vuitton coat.

November 6, 2021: Adele and Rich are spotted together leaving An Audience With Adele, Adele's first live U.K. performance in four years, in London.

November 14, 2021: In an interview with Oprah for the CBS special Adele: One Night Only, Adele opens up a little bit more about her relationship with Rich, saying that it is the first relationship in which she's felt secure about herself. “It's just timing,” she said. “But it'd be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I'm talking outside of romance as well.”

January 7, 2022: A very giggly Adele and Rich attend another Lakers game. For this one, Adele goes for a more casual look with a black blazer, joggers, and Air Force 1's.

February 1, 2022: Amid rumors that the couple is on the outs, Adele subtly claps back, confirming they're still going strong. “Hiya, so I'm really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!” she wrote in the caption. “Oh, and Rich sends his love ♥️.”

February 8, 2022: Is Adele engaged? Adele attends the Brit Awards on Tuesday, February 8, wearing a massive Lorraine Schwartz pear-shaped diamond on her left hand, sparking engagement rumors.

February 20, 2022: Another day, another courtside date! Adele and Rich look so in love at the 71st NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland (Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were there too)! According to the Daily Mail, Adele wore a $12,900 Alaia leopard-print coat, but there was no sign of the Lorraine Schwartz ring that sparked all those engagement rumors.

May 11, 2022: Looks like they're moving into Sylvester Stallone's old mansion together! In January, it was reported that she had put in an offer on the Beverly Park property (reportedly a cool 58 mil), and had begun the inspections phase. Now it seems the deal has closed, as she posted a picture in front of the rear facade in which she and Paul are both holding keys. Pretty sure that makes it official.

August 15, 2022: Adele says she “absolutely” wants to remarry in an interview Elle Magazine's September issue cover story. "I've never been in love like this. I'm obsessed with him," Adele said.

She also said she “definitely” wants more kids. “I'm a homemaker and I'm a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music,” she said.

December 17, 2022: Adele sings "Happy Birthday" to Paul, who celebrated his 41st birthday by attending her Vegas residency at Caesar's Palace.

February 5, 2023: Paul joins Adele at the Grammys after she walked the red carpet solo.

September 16, 2023: Those engagement rumors evolve into marriage rumors after Adele refers to Paul as her “husband” during a Vegas performance. “You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband’s here tonight,” she tells an audience member in one fan-recorded TikTok video. She continues, “No, I don't wanna try. I'm with Rich. You're crazy, leave me alone.”
