Adele’s First Saturday Night Live Promo Is Here, and It’s Hilarious
We already know Adele is crazy talented when it comes to music—and if you've ever watched her interviews, you also know she's pretty darn funny too.
But now the world is about to get a proper display of her comedic stylings when she hosts Saturday Night Live on October 24 with musical guest H.E.R. And if the first promo for the show is any indication, it's going to be 90 minutes of funny.
“Hi, I'm Adele, and I'm hosting Saturday Night Live this week with musical guest H.E.R.,” the singer says in the clip.
“Wait. Her or her?” Kate McKinnon says, making a play on H.E.R's name.
“It is I who will be musical guest this week,” McKinnon continues, as Adele gets close to the camera and says, “Or maybe me.” Um, we only wish we were getting some new Adele music. But then H.E.R. (whose given name is Gabriella Wilson) chimes in, “But I'm—I'm the musical guest!”

Adele announced her hosting gig on Instagram. “Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!! I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right,” she wrote. “But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right? It'll be almost 12 years to the day that I first appeared on the show, during an election...which went on to break my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn’t possibly say no! I am besides myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my arse off in between it all. See you next week ♥️🤞🏻”
