A panda cub in China has become an international sensation after refusing to let go of its zoo keeper’s leg.

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding has China’s largest captive panda population, and is therefore ground zero for all things black, white and cuddly. The zoo’s bears recently made news headlines when breeders attempted to spell out ‘2017’ using 23 baby pandas.

Now a little panda bear is setting social media abuzz after a video of its antics proved to be too cute to ignore.

In a clip posted to the centre’s iPanda cam, the lone cub appears determined to stay with its keeper at all times. His brilliant tactic? Wrapping all four paws around the keeper’s leg and holding on for dear life.

No matter how many times the zoo keeper carries the panda cub to the other side of the enclosure, the little guy is back on his leg within seconds.

The clip has garnered more than 99 million views on Facebook in just a couple of days, and judging by the comments, “panda keeper” is shaping up to be the most desirable job of 2017.
