Adorable Labradoodle Beams After Being Found Lost At The Bottom Of A Well

The look on Lily the labradoodle’s face says it all as the adorable dog was discovered by rescuers after she fell down a well.

The four-year-old pooch had gone missing after she did a runner while on a walk with her owner in a forest in Eastleigh, Hampshire, over the weekend.

A search went all throughout the night and hope was starting to fade - until Lily was found at the bottom of a well.

She had somehow managed to fall down the deep hole but managed to avoid any serious injuries.

When rescuers looked down the well and found her, Lily seemed deliriously happy that she had been found at last.

Animal rescue specialist Anton Phillips, who helped find the pooch, said: “Lily is one lucky dog as she landed on a log around 2m down, when the well is likely to have been a lot deeper than that.

“The extendable tools we now have thankfully meant I could get her out relatively easy on my own.

“But there is a lot of emotion involved in rescues like this for the owners, often as much as any house fire.

“It’s important they call specialists like us to deal with them, rather than try to carry out the rescue themselves and create an even bigger problem.”

Lily’s owner, Sarah Strother, thanked Anton on Facebook, writing: “Thank you so much to Anton.

“Lily and I are very grateful. She is very pleased to be home.”
