The Adorable Reason Why Meghan Markle Is Wearing a Necklace Made of Pasta on the Royal Tour

We're calling it: Pasta is the hottest accessory trend of 2019, thanks to Meghan Markle's "Markle Sparkle" effect.

OK, it may be a stretch this time, but why on earth is the Duchess of Sussex wearing a pasta necklace during her and Prince Harry's royal tour of Oceania? The answer is as sweet as a plate of ricotta ravioli.

For day three in Australia, instead of accessorizing with some of the late Princess Diana's jewelry (which she did on days one and two), the duchess was gifted a pasta necklace from 6-year-old Gavin Hazelwood.

According to People, Little Gavin faked sick the day the royals were visiting Melbourne so that his mom would let him stay home (genius), then made the necklace and held a sign for Markle to see that read, "I made you a necklace" (classic).

The duchess graciously accepted the gift and wore it proudly along with her navy Dion Lee shirt dress and polished trench coat.

So, it's decided then: Harry and Meghan are going to be the best parents anyone's ever seen.
