'AGT' makes history as it crowns its Season 17 winner
During the Season 17 finale of America's Got Talent Wednesday, it all came down to Australian pole-dancer and multimedia artist Kristy Sellars and Lebanese dance troupe Mayyas, with the latter being declared this year's winner of the $1 Million prize and the headlining act of America's Got Talent Last Vegas Live show.
This wasn't the first time Mayyas won big. The dance group, who won Sofia Vergara's Golden Buzzer this season, also received a Golden Buzzer and won Arab's Got Talent in 2019.
However, it was still a night to remember as history was broken during the AGT finale with Season 17 being the first time two female dance acts were in the top 2 and with Mayyas being the first female dance group to ever win America's Got Talent.
