Airdrie liquor store hit by shoplifting trio

Airdrie RCMP are on the hunt for three suspects connected to a recent liquor store shoplifting incident where the clerk was distracted, police said in release Saturday.

Police responded to a liquor store at 400 Main Street on the evening of May 12.

They believe two men distracted the cashier while a woman put five bottles of liquor into her purse.

The woman and one of the men were caught on surveillance camera.

The female is described as heavy set, in her 30s with red hair. She was wearing jeans, a colourful top and a black sweater.

One of the male suspects has a thin build and was wearing a grey sweater, black pants and a blue baseball cap. He is estimated to be in his mid-20s to 30s.
