Here's the daily campaign buzz and the scheduled appearances for Alberta's party leaders on Monday.

The buzz

With just over a week to go before the election, party leaders continue to trade barbs over education funding, corporate tax rates, pipelines, and sole-source contracts.

The hustings

PC: Jim Prentice is in Grande Prairie for 10 a.m. remarks and a media availability. He has an 11:30 a.m. photo op in Fairview, another at 12:45 p.m. in Rycroft, and a third back in Grand Prairie at 2 p.m. At 7 p.m. he holds a tele-town hall for Calgary.

NDP: Rachel Notley has 9:45 a.m. remarks in Edmonton, followed by some 'mainstreeting' in that city at 11:15. At 3:30 p.m. she is in Grand Prairie for a meet and greet. And at 7 p.m. she has a speech in Fairview.

Wildrose: Brian Jean has a 10 a.m. announcement in Fort McMurray, followed by a 4 p.m. meet and greet in Bonnyville.

Liberal: David Swann is in Calgary where he has a 1 p.m. policy announcment and a 7 p.m. candidates forum in Calgary-Mountain View.
