Ovechkin fan shapes beard into No. 8
A Washington sports fan has taken the idea of growing a playoff beard to a whole new level.
Unfortunately for him, Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals didn't qualify for the playoffs last season. But that didn't sway the self-proclaimed "beardsman" (according to his Instagram bio) from shaping his facial hair into the Washington sniper's No. 8.

The fan's elaborate facial hair wasn't lost on Oveckhin, either, who appreciated the effort when the fan was caught on camera during a game last fall.
The fan doesn't limit his beard-trimming/growing/shaping/impressiveness to hockey. He's a baseball fan too:
