2022 looks set to be the year of the wedding boom, with all those constantly-postponed nuptials of the past two years finally back on the agenda (fingers crossed) – not to mention all those engagements which took place over the Christmas and New Year period, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox included.
When it comes to weddings, the organisational struggle is real – and that's whether you've had the whole pandemic or just a few weeks to dedicate to research so far. Guest lists, those ever-changing Covid restrictions, venues, the endless quest for the perfect dress... But there is one thing that the fashion-loving bride can tick happily off her list right now, and that's the wedding stationery.
Whimsical wedding dress designer extraordiniare, Alice Temperley has collaborated with Papier to create her first ever line of wedding stationery – and it's even more dreamy than you'd imagine.
Sticking with her signature aesthetic of ethereal romance with a hint of British boho style, Temperley used some of her favourite hand-painted prints from her bridal and RTW collections to create everything from menus and invitations to table plans for the collaboration – and they're all inspired by the beauty of the English countryside.
'The light changes with the seasons and the most magical time of day throughout the year in the countryside is at dawn and dusk, when I feel most animated and inspired. The colours and the smells... It's so romantic and intoxicating,' Temperley says of the inspiration behind her debut stationery collection.
Think hand-painted wildflowers, whimsical bumblebees and delicate lace motifs – perfect for setting the romantic mood and creating a memorable tablescape which will delight even the most discerning guests (read: fussy in-laws).
