Alleged unruly Air Canada passenger faces more charges

RCMP say a transatlantic flight from London to Calgary was forced to land in Edmonton back in August because of an intoxicated passenger.

Two new charges have been laid against a Calgary man accused of being unruly on an international flight in August.

The transatlantic Air Canada flight from London was diverted to Edmonton after a business class passenger became abusive.

Witnesses say the man was drunk and kept drinking throughout the flight and eventually had to be restrained in his seat.

Justin Frank was already facing several charges, including sexual assault and causing a disturbance.

He now faces additional charges of common assault and mischief causing property damage.

Frank was scheduled to make a court appearance on Thursday, but it is expected to be adjourned.
