The RURBAN Farmer’s Market in Downtown Alliston will be open soon once again with vendors offering fresh produce, seedlings, plans, honey, jams, meats, pickles and baked goods.

There will also be unique items like fresh honey and farm made syrup, along with crafted items by local artisans.

When the market is open, visitors and vendors alike will be required to follow some protocols in keeping with the current province-wide stay-at-home order.

Vendors will be spaced properly to ensure physical distancing.

Initially, only food vendors will be at the market.

During the stay-at-home order, artisans are restricted from selling their goods but will return as the order changes and the season progresses.

While some vendors do accept debit, if you are bringing cash, bring an assortment of bills and coins so you can pay for items without requiring change for your purchase.

You will not be permitted to handle items prior to purchase and most of the food will be pre-packaged.

Also, you should bring your own bags as vendors cannot handle re-usable bags or containers.

There will also be a limited number of people allowed into the market at one time to allow for social distancing.

Everyone is asked to maintain social distancing - 6 feet - at the market with both vendors and friends you may encounter when you are there.
