Who Is Ally Love’s Husband? All About Andrew Haynes
Ally Love and her husband, Andrew Haynes, married in 2021
Ally Love has a lot of love for her husband Andrew Haynes.
The initial introduction to Haynes on social media was back in 2018, and Love has been giving her followers details about their relationship ever since. Haynes is tagged as “#AndrewNoIG" on all of Love’s Instagram posts that mention him because he doesn’t have his own account.
The Peloton instructor and Love Squad founder and Haynes dated for nearly a decade before getting married in Mexico in August 2021. Their five-day wedding “weekend” made headlines, and Haynes played a significant role in how their multi-day celebration unfolded.
So who is Ally Love’s husband? Here’s everything to know about Andrew Haynes and his relationship with the multi-hyphenated fitness star.
He’s from Trinidad and Tobago
Haynes hails from the Caribbean, and his home country inspired the second night of the couple’s five-day wedding celebration. Hosted on the beach, the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival party was full of nods to Haynes’ heritage.
“There was jerk chicken, curry, chana, all of these things that are very much Trinidad and Tobago-inspired food,” Love told The Knot in August 2021. She later shared that a lot of products from Trinidad were incorporated into the festivities.
He and Love share a birthday
Haynes and Love have double the celebration on April 6 every year as the couple have the same birthday. In a 2020 Instagram post, Love talked about their “two for one birthday.”
“Did you know we share the same BIRTHDAY?!??” she wrote in the caption. “But he always lets me celebrate it as being just my day. However, I only celebrate because you’re worth celebrating!!”
He met Love at a club in New York City
About a decade before their wedding, Haynes and Love connected during a night out in New York City. During a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, she talked about what first attracted her to Haynes: his moves.
"We met at a club in New York City, and coincidentally, it was his dance moves that sold me," Love said. She also touched on how their romance has blossomed into mutual respect in all sense of the word.
"He definitely champions me," she added. "He gives me honest feedback. He takes my classes. He shows up. He helps remind me to celebrate my small wins. So he is quite special."
Love made their relationship Instagram official in September 2018
The couple had been dating for about seven years before Love posted her first Instagram with Haynes. In September 2018, she shared a selfie with Andrew from their recent travels abroad.
“Meet Andrew….we’ve been rolling for a while, and I have to say it only gets better!” she wrote in the caption. “He plans a yearly surprise trip…and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
They got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2020
Haynes proposed to Love at Rosewood Mayakoba, a luxury resort in Mexico. Less than a year later, they said “I do” at the same location. Shortly after the engagement, Love shared an Instagram Story to announce the news.
“So I’m engaged,” she wrote. “I’m beyond grateful for God’s anointing on our love and lives…will be sourcing wedding planning tips soon.”
A few days after the proposal, she posted a photo of them kissing with fireworks in the background and revealed more details about the engagement.
“I SAID YES (and yes)!!!!!” Love wrote on Instagram. “...And not because those were private fireworks just for me/us…I will share the proposal soon, it was UNEXPECTED and so PERFECT!! More photos/stories to come, but...TTYL, I’m still enjoying this beautiful time with my FIANCÉ.”
In mid-January 2021, Love talked to PEOPLE about the surprise proposal.
"Obviously I had no idea that I was getting proposed to, and so our first day there, we had a private dinner on the beach. We have been fortunate enough when we do travel, when it wasn't COVID, we've done a lot of private things and experiences," she said.
They married in August 2021 and he planned their wedding
Haynes took the lead planning their five-part wedding, which included quite a few surprises. Night one was a Mexican-themed party, welcoming their guests to the destination wedding. After that, there was the Trinidad and Tobago party and a Miami-style event in honor of Love’s hometown.
"My husband decided to take on the project and become the wedding planner. I was the self-titled executive assistant," Love, who initially wanted a small wedding, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.
The wedding took place in front of the Rosewood Mayakoba lagoon. After the ceremony, the reception was full of dancing, cake-cutting and partying, according to Love’s Instagram post.
“We are MARRIED,” Love announced on social media. “Dear God, you have blessed us with incredible friends and family, and with each other. We rejoice. We are grateful, we are blessed. Thank you!!! Andrew I love you forever.”
He takes a lot of Love’s Peloton classes
Haynes is his wife’s biggest supporter. She shared in a January 2020 Instagram post that he had taken almost all of her Sundays with Love rides.
While they don’t take place as frequently these days, Love consistently hosted a Peloton ride every Sunday. She returned to the Peloton podium for the first Sunday with Love in more than two years.
He’s a Brooklyn Nets fan
Haynes and Love share a love for the Brooklyn Nets. Love is the in-arena host of the professional basketball team, but she shared that he’s referred to as their “mayor.”
“I host the games, and they call him the Mayor of @barclayscenter @brooklynnets (at least behind his back),” she captioned an Instagram post in April 2022. “Sharing our love for the @brooklynnets together makes it that much more fun.”
