Amanda Gillespie of Brockville dead after ATV crash
A 25-year-old woman from Brockville, Ont., is dead after an ATV crash about 80 kilometres south of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to an ATV crash on County Road 21 in Augusta Township at 12:45 a.m. on Friday.
The driver of the ATV, 25-year-old Amanda Gillespie, was taken to hospital in serious condition. She later died from her injuries on Sunday, police said.
The passenger on the ATV, a 22-year-old man from Augusta Township, was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released from hospital.
Neither person was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police added. The investigation continues.
