Mittens are inherently warmer than gloves. However, packing all your fingers together can make things like texting, fixing your hair, looking for something in your handbag or even zipping your jacket a little bit difficult. That’s why these furry mittens from Amazon are so great — they have a flap you can flip over to easily expose your fingers without totally taking them off.

$19.99 at Amazon

If you’ve been in the market for a pair of faux fur mittens, you may have noticed that these Amazon ones look very similar to the Apparis ones you can get at Nordstrom or Saks Fifth Avenue, which cost $60.

The Funky Junque Faux Fur Flip Mittens are $20 and come in six pretty yet neutral colors, including black, mocha brown, ivory, beige and rose pink. They’re faux fur on the outside and inside, so they’ll keep your hands extra cozy. Additionally, they have a ribbed cuff to keep cold air out, and the flip top has a button closure.

One thing to note is that they’re one size only. For reference, they’re 10 inches in length from the bottom of the wrist to the tip of the middle finger.

I love these gloves,” wrote one Amazon reviewer. “My hands are toasty warm because they are fuzzy on the outside and on the inside. And I can put my fingers in and out of them super easily to use my phone.”

There are at least two more months of winter, and some of the coldest days may still be ahead. It doesn’t hurt to be prepared with a warm (and stylish) pair of mittens that won’t keep you from texting your group chat about your upcoming ski trip.
