We all know that a good night's sleep is essential to recharging our minds and bodies. Sleep can help us regulate our emotions, improve our immune system, and also promotes cell restoration and repair. However, it can be difficult for the body to work its magic if we have aches and pains in our necks and shoulders that make it difficult to fall asleep and get comfortable.

Specialty pillows, like the Mkicesky Side Sleeper Contour Memory Foam Pillow, have been designed to help position our bodies in a way that maintains our natural spinal cervical curve (the atlas vertebrae located at the base of the skull) and promote proper alignment. Damaged cervical curve can cause a handful of painful problems that can make our day-to-lives uncomfortable and prevent us from doing the things we love — including sleeping!

Right now, shoppers can save 15 per cent on the "Amazon's Choice" pillow and take it home for just $56.

What is it?

The Mkicesky Side Sleeper Contour Pillow is an ergonomically-deigned pillow with a memory foam core that promotes spinal cervical alignment that can help you get a better night's sleep. The pillow's unique design features a hollow space for your head that helps alleviate pressure on the neck and spine. Whether you're someone who sleeps on their stomach, side or back, you can position the pillow to suit your sleep style and get a better night's rest.

Mkicesky's hypoallergenic pillows feature a five second memory foam rebound and a pillowcase that should be removed washed before your first use -but don't wash the actual pillow!

What people are saying

With more than 1,100 reviews and an average rating of 4.3 stars, Amazon shoppers have dubbed this ergonomic pillow a "game-changer" and say it's "better than any other" chiropractic pillow they've tried.

It's a "game-changer" for those who suffer from "severe neck and back strain/pain," writes one shopper, adding that the pillow "alleviated" their pain within two days and has continued to work well after "four weeks of consistent use."

Another reviewer says it's "better than any other" chiropractic, memory foam, feather, contour, or physio pillow they've tried — adding that other pillows are "are nothing compared to these." The reviewer went on to say that no matter your sleeping position, your head "is automatically in the right spot."

Another shopper, who is a side sleeper, says they find the pillow "very comfortable" and helps to keep your body in a "secure position throughout the night" — however they did mention it takes a few nights to get used to.

While the pillow has earned an average rating of 4.3 stars or higher for support, comfort, and sleep quality, some shoppers say that while it's great for back and side sleepers, it's not ideal for stomach sleepers.

This is not the right pillow "for us stomach sleepers," writes one shopper. It's "terrible for your neck" if you sleep on your stomach.

Verdict

If you're looking to try an ergonomic pillow or trade-in your current pillow for something new, the Mkicesky Side Sleeper Contour Memory Foam Pillow might be for you. At its sale price, it's considerably more affordable than other designs. However, if you sleep on your stomach, it might be worth it to look into different options.
