Delays at Ambassador Bridge following temporary closure

The Ambassador Bridge border crossing connecting Windsor, Ont., and Detroit is experiencing delays Monday evening following a temporary closure of the bridge in the afternoon.

The Canada Border Services Agency website listed the bridge as "temporarily closed" at around 4:30 p.m. Just before 5 p.m., the bridge had reopened there was a delay of 45 minutes that remained ongoing as of Monday night.

A spokesperson says traffic is open in both directions and CBSA has opened additional lanes to help with the wait times.

Meanwhile, the Detroit-Windsor-Tunnel was seeing a 45-minute delay for those entering Canada on Monday afternoon but the wait times were resolved by Monday evening.
