Anne Hathaway Avoids Wardrobe Malfunction with Relatable Dress Tweak in Front of Red Carpet Photographers

Anne Hathaway proved once again why she's a red carpet pro.
The Oscar winner, 41, made a gorgeous appearance at The 2023 Fashion Awards in London, where she not only commanded the red carpet in her vintage Valentino couture gown, but also narrowly avoided a wardrobe mishap without missing a beat.
In a video shared by WWD, the Oscar winner and mom of two can be seen striking a pose like a pro, only to quickly turn around to pull up the wide scoop neckline of her floor-sweeping white gown.
After a split second she turns back around, playfully sticks out her tongue and resumes modeling for the photographers as if nothing happened!
Hathaway’s vintage gown featured a tiered fringe skirt and a textured ribbed bodice with a corset-like silhouette.
She teamed the number with a dazzling necklace and a long black-and-white checkered cape.

The Fashion Awards, held on Monday night at the Royal Albert Hall, “brings together a global community in London, the home of fashion creativity, to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence in creativity and support the next generation of creative talent,” according to the event's website.
This year’s guest list included a slew of fashion change-makers and trendsetters including Amal Clooney, Rita Ora, Pamela Anderson, Andrew Garfield, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and more, who all dressed to impress at the ceremony, which is the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation created by the British Fashion Council.
Hathaway continues to have "fun" with her fashion choices.
Since embarking on her style renaissance with the help of her stylist Erin Walsh, she’s become red carpet royalty thanks to her commitment to trying new looks.
Most recently, Hathaway brought her fashion sense to new heights with her own chic interpretation on the celebrity-loved “no-pants” trend.
While in New York City to promote her new film Eileen, Hathaway rocked a Valentino button-up shirt layered over teensy shorts, giving off the illusion that the top served as a dress. She also stood poised in heeled knee-high boots.

Whether Hathaway is busy nailing trends left and right or proudly touting her unique flair, Hathaway has one objective in mind: to unapologetically keep doing her own thing.
“In this moment everybody's taking risks and I feel like there's more than one way to do it right now, which means that you don't have to hit a mark, you just have to be yourself — and that feels wonderful,” she previously told PEOPLE.
