Anti-Lockdown Protesters Clash with Police in Trafalgar Square

Police shut down an anti-lockdown demonstration in Trafalgar Square that drew thousands on Saturday, September 26.

Metropolitan Police said demonstrators not abiding by coronavirus restrictions were “putting people in danger of transmitting the virus.”

This footage shows police clashing with demonstrators in Trafalgar Square. Other footage shared from the scene showed supporters of the QAnon conspiracy movement, and others defying nationawide coronavirus restrictions.

According to local reports, at least ten people were arrested, while four officers were injured, two of whom needed hospital care.
