‘Severance’ Season 2 Trailer: Adam Scott’s Mark Gets To The Heart Of Lumon Industries As Innie And Outie Worlds Merge

UPDATED: The full trailer for Apple TV+’s Severance Season 2, directed by Ben Stiller and created by Dan Erickson, has arrived.

Adam Scott’s Mark Scout has returned to work at Lumon Industries, where a “severance” procedure separates employees between their outer world counterparts and their “innies” who only know their work lives in the building where they go to sort macro data.

Tramell Tillman’s Milchik visits Mark S. in the outie world to convince him to come back after the events of last season. Mark, spurred by his newest coworker Helly (Britt Lower) and their quartet colleagues Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irving (John Turturro) started to question what the purpose of their work at Lumon was.

Another big reveal at the end of last season was that outie Mark’s wife Gemma (Dichen Lachman) was actually still alive in the form of Ms. Casey, the counselor at Lumon.

Adventures both through the mysterious corridors of Lumon and in the wilderness ensue as Turturro’s Irving claims “It’s not our world up there” when asked what he saw. The clip ends with Mark walking into a cubicle with all-new coworkers including Alia Shawkat (Blink Twice, Search Party), Stefano Carannante (Miribilia) and Bob Babalan (The Chair).

Severance premieres with its first episode on Friday, January 17, 2025 followed by one episode every Friday through March 21.

PREVIOUS, July 10: The long-awaited Season 2 premiere of the Apple TV+ series Severance has been set for Friday, January 17 with one episode followed by a new episode every Friday through March 21. A sneak peek at the new season can be found above.

From writer, creator and executive producer Dan Erickson, Severance follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), a team leader at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

In the 10-episode Season 2, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

In addition to Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Patricia Arquette and new series regular Sarah Bock also star.

Severance is executive produced by Ben Stiller, who also directs 5 episodes this season in addition to directors Uta Bresiewitz, Sam Donovan and Jessica Lee Gagné. Season 2 is also executive produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Sam Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz and Nicholas Weinstock. In addition to starring, Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette serve as executive producers. Fifth Season is the studio.
