Argyle could see more shopping options. Here’s where a developer has plans

A developer wants to hear from residents about a proposal to bring retail and offices to 190 acres south of Robson Ranch Road and west of Interstate 35W in Argyle, just east of the Harvest community. The area is known as the Heritage Tract.

The Program for Argyle Community Engagement meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Argyle Town Hall, 308 Denton St.

The land is zoned for agricultural use, and it will have to be rezoned if it is going to be developed, according to the town.

Preliminary concept plans from 5054 Development show several uses including retail, office space and a business park.

In July, Hillwood unveiled plans for 6,000 homes and 3,000 apartment units north of Robson Ranch Road and west of I-35W. The first homes in the 3,200 acre Landmark development are expected to hit the market in 2026.

Another master-planned community with 1,300 homes priced from $800,000 to over $2.5 million is planned for 1,000 acres near Flower Mound, Bartonville, and Argyle.
