It's been almost a week since reports announced Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement and subsequently broke shipper hearts. Davidson has been keeping a low profile, but Grande has stayed busy and even performed at A Very Wicked HalloweenSpecial just days after the split-though she did admit to taking a social media break to avoid breakup headlines-and is coping by "burying herself in work" according to E!.

"Ever since Mac [Mac Miller] passed, she has been avoiding the grievance process and has been trying to keep herself insanely busy," a source said. Ariana has kept "in close contact with her family and they are keeping an eye on her and supporting her," but her workload has caused some worry. Those close to Grande, like her brother Frankie, "have urged her to take a break and really relax and take time for herself."

Although she seems to be avoiding the grieving process, Grande acknowledges that she has to face it. "Ariana wants to keep going, keep recording music and move on with her life, but understands that she needs to also deal with her emotions," the insider added.

The source assures E! that the breakup came from a good place, as both Pete and Ari are still in contact, but realized it's "best to be physically apart," and "still care about each other."

As for Ari, she's just taking it day by day. "She's trying to clear her head and just keep going living each day one at a time," the source said.
