Arrest made after stabbing injures 1 in Upper Land Park, Sacramento police say

A stabbing in Land Park early Thursday sent a person to a hospital and their suspected attacker to jail, said Sacramento police.

Officers said the incident happened just before 3 a.m., in the 100 block of Log Pond Lane. The injured person was stabbed at least once, was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, a police spokesman said.

The alleged attacker tried to flee the scene but was detained by police. Police said investigators on Thursday were still determining what led to the stabbing but believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
