Assault on Stella Avenue sends woman to hospital
A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following an early-morning assault in the 500 block of Stella Avenue in Winnipeg.
Police say it happened around 5 a.m. on Saturday.
Const. Jason Michalyshen said police are still trying to determine whether the attack took place inside or outside the residence among other details.
Police were at the scene of the assault, which had been taped off, for most of the morning.
Michalyshen added more details about the investigation will be released Sunday.
