Attempted arson arrest after Newcastle-under-Lyme bungalow fire
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson with intent to endanger life following a bungalow fire.
The 33-year-old, from Stoke-on-Trent, has since been released on conditional bail, while police inquiries continue.
A woman in her 90s and a man in his 50s, were both taken to hospital after the blaze on Leamington Gardens, Newcastle-under-Lyme, just before 16:00 GMT on Sunday.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at the scene, Staffordshire Police said.
