  • Jeremy and Audrey Roloff welcomed their second child on January 8 — a little boy named Bode.

  • Audrey recently took to Instagram to share her "4th trimester" story and to talk about the "body pains" she's experiencing.

While Audrey Roloff says she's enjoying all the "newborn snuggles" and "heart-melting moments" with her new baby boy, Bode, she isn't afraid to admit that it's also been a challenging time for her.

In a new Instagram post from Thursday, the former Little People, Big World star — who welcomed Bode on January 8 along with her husband, Jeremy Roloff — shared a photo of herself cradling her newborn son and wrote about how it's been "really hard" on her the past week or so. Even though her pregnancies and deliveries with both Bode and their 2-year-old daughter, Ember, were "great," her current "4th trimester" has been especially tough on her body.

"Thankfully this time I could draw from past experience and fought off getting mastitis 5 days postpartum like last time🙈," she shared. "Still... my milk comes in fast and furious, both my babies chomped my nipples to shreds on day one, and my milk is the brevé kind🤣 so engorgement is at least 5x my normal bra size."

Audrey went on to explain that she is also dealing with body aches, light-headedness, sore muscles from labor, stitches, pains "down there," postpartum contractions, and more.

"I don’t think enough people share about their postpartum journey. We are so excited to share birth stories and document our whole pregnancies but then postpartum hits and nothing ... I wish someone would have better prepared me the first time around or been more honest about all the after-birth pains. So here I am 👋🏻showing up with my 1 week postpartum belly exposed and telling you my body hurts."

Audrey closed out her post recognizing that her body needs to rest and encouraged those going through a similar experience to also give themselves plenty of time to recharge.

The Instagram prompted Audrey's fans to send her encouraging words. Many also said that they can relate to the mom-of-two's honest account. "Love you and your transparency girl! 4th tri is the worst for me too!," one fan wrote. "Thanks for laying it all out there! I wish I had been better prepared as well. You are a superhero mama!" another commented. "Thank you for sharing your struggles as well as your triumphs with us. I think it makes us all feel a little more normal and accepted!!" a different fan declared.

Days before Audrey shared the above Instagram post, she made it clear that despite her struggles, being with her two little ones makes it all worth it.

"Postpartum has been hard on my body, but cuddling with these precious little loves makes my heart so full," she wrote alongside a photo of her daughter meeting Bode for the first time. "What an honor it is to be their mama."
