Avril Lavigne feels "Like A Woman."
In the clip, the 37-year-old singer-songwriter walked toward the camera while mouthing the words, "Let's go, girls," referring to Canadian icon Shania Twain's hit song, "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" As Lavigne lip synched, the star smiled at the camera, put her hands on her waist and popped her hips side to side.
To film the video, which was posted before Academy of Country Music Honours event on Wednesday, the Belleville, Ont.-native wore a black leather bustier connected to a cheetah-print hood. She rocked a matching pleated mini shirt and black knee-high boots while her orange dip-dyed locks fell below her waist.
Lavigne seemingly attempted to put her own spin on Twain's iconic leopard-print catsuit that the country singer wore in her 1998 music video, "That Don't Impress Me Much." At the award show, Lavigne presented Twain with the ACM Poet's Award.
"Let’s go, girls," the "Girlfriend" songstress captioned her five second clip, alongside black and orange heart emojis.
In the comments, fans gushed over the fun-loving video and voiced how much they love these "Canadian icons."
"You should totally do a cover of that song! Love this!" commented a follower.
"Canadian icons! Can you imagine how powerful all girls would feel if Avril and Shania did a song together?" shared someone else.
"Cute outfit! You're so amazing!" wrote a fan.
"Iconic Canadian crossover," added another.
The clothing line took to Instagram to share a photo of the star wearing one of her punky designs — a pink and black patterned top over top a black zip-up dress.
Handpicked by Lavigne, the collection features ready-to-wear fashion, accessories and intimates. The "Complicated" singer joined forces with the label to customize a collection "that truly speaks to her fanbase," according to the brand.
In the caption, the clothing line dropped the news that the collection is available to shop, and implied that it's selling out quickly.
