Rami Malek and Bradley Cooper looked like the dashing and charismatic Hollywood A-listers that they are as they hit the BAFTA red carpet last night to screams of hundreds of waiting fans. But their arrival didn't go quite as smoothly as planned.
The Oscar-nominated stars happened to turn up a tiny bit late, which clashed with the arrival of Prince William and Kate Middleton, who - according to royal protocol - are meant to arrive last for security reasons, and because you know, they're our future King and Queen after all.
This meant that the red carpet was immediately put on lock-down, so Rami and Bradley had to stop and wait for around 20 minutes. There were plenty of non-famous people waiting too, who couldn't believe their luck.
Bradley and Rami chatted happily together and posed for pictures while being held by BAFTA organisers and security. Rami's Bohemian Rhapsody co-star and girlfriend Lucy Boynton had arrived at the ceremony an hour or so earlier, but at least he had Bradley...
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a white Alexander McQueen dress with floral detailing on the shoulder on the red carpet, while Wills looked smart in a black tux.
And all was well in the end, as Rami went on to win the Best Actor BAFTA for his performance as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, and Bradley picked up Best Original Music for A Star is Born.
After the ceremony, Rami, Bradley and all the other winners - including Olivia Colman and Mahershala Ali - stayed on stage for a group photograph, during which they shook hands and spoke to Kate and William. Oh, to have been privy to their conversations...
Congrats again, Rami and Bradley!
