Ayesha Curry is defending herself and her marriage after sharing a nude photo to Instagram.

On Feb. 12, the 31-year-old television personality and wife of NBA star Steph Curry shared a photo of herself nude with her legs and arms crossed to cover her body to promote the latest issue of her lifestyle magazine, Sweet July.

"From our Sweet July BODY feature. So many natural wellness and skin remedies in this issue!" Curry captioned her post. "Steph Curry got to pick the photo. Shins and shoulders y’all, shins and shoulders."

Many fans claiming that the photo contradicted a controversial, resurfaced tweet she wrote several years ago which many people believed was meant to criticize women who showed off their bodies.

"Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style," Curry's wrote in Dec. 2015. "I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters."

After sharing new images from her Sweet July photoshoot, fans began tweeting Curry to remind her of her previous statements.

"My how the tables have turned," one person wrote.

"This didn't age well, huh?" said another.

Others simply commented on her photo, regurgitating her aforementioned tweet at her.

"Remember when you were judging people in 2015 for 'taking off their clothes?'" someone commented.

After receiving numerous comments insinuating she was a hypocrite, Curry responded directly to any suggestions that she was being hypocritical. The star told followers that her old tweet was being misinterpreted and that there was a backstory involved that might clear her name.

“When you realize I was talking about a person wearing nipple pasties leaving a Starbucks and thought it was hilarious… but no one cared to ask," she wrote.

Curry doubled down by replying to another comment, insisting that she never advocated for women covering themselves up. "Never did that," she wrote.

The actress and cookbook author also clapped back at a commenter for suggesting her photo was an indication that her marriage is falling apart.

"I smell a divorce!," someone wrote, to which Curry replied: "You must have COVID. Or didn't read the caption, but go off."

Despite the criticism, fans rallied behind Curry to applaud her for sharing the photo with her more than 7.3 million followers on Instagram.

"What! Mom of three- You look incredible," one follower wrote. "I highly request a skincare tutorial"

"So many people in the comments saying, 'This isn't her, this isn't who she is.' But you don't know her personally!" another follower wrote. "She's a beautiful, gorgeous, grown, wife, mother, businesswoman and Christian. You don't know her, you know what she chooses to show and tell you. Today she chose shins and shoulders! Stop being negative and if you don't like it, scroll on. 'But you call yourself Christian'- Clearly you do to and somewhere along the way you picked judgement! Shut up!"
