WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP are looking for witnesses and seeking more information after a fatal stabbing in Williams Lake, B.C., earlier this week.

They say police responded to a report of a man suffering from stab wounds around 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Mounties say officers and paramedics found the man, who they say had sustained serious injuries, and immediately brought him to the hospital where he then died.

They say the North District major crime unit are looking for witnesses and any dashcam or video footage from the Midnight Drive area that night.

RCMP Sgt. Chris Manseau says the investigation is still in its infancy but early indications suggest it was a targeted attack.

Police have not yet released the victim's name.
