Right now, fans are guessing Banana Split is both singer Katharine McPhee Foster and musician David Foster.
The Masked Singer is revisiting a familiar fruit for season 6 but it's getting a delicious makeover. After Poison frontman Bret Michaels was revealed to be Banana on season 3, the hit Fox singing competition show is bringing the costume back as Banana Split. While it's still early to say who could be behind this two-person getup, Masked Singer fans are already banking on a particularly gifted husband-and-wife duo.
Who is Banana Split on The Masked Singer?
First, here’s a quick rundown of the clues we know so far:
The duo costume includes one singer wearing a penguin-style yellow suit with chocolate ice cream and rainbow sprinkles on it. They also have a banana peel for a head with a wide grin and heart eyes.
The other performer wears a dress made from scoops of Neapolitan ice cream. Their head is another scoop of ice cream with a red cherry on the top of it. They also have red lips, blue eyes, dark eyelashes and a mole.
Banana Split’s first promo video shows them holding two bouquets of roses, cleaning and playing the carnival game High Striker. The pair dances to the upbeat song “Shake, Shake, Shake” by Photronique (feat. KO the Legend).
In The Masked Singer season 6 premiere episode, the first clue for Banana Split is three red dice with two dots showing.
During the "Date Night" episode, Banana said to make the perfect love song, you need: fantasy, pain and reality. Although, Split disagreed, and instead said you need heart.
The two told Nicole Scherzinger that the three of them would have a "ball" together.

Katharine McPhee Foster and David Foster
Katharine and David first met on American Idol in 2006. Over a decade, their friendship blossomed into a relationship. After secretly dating for some time, the two officially tied the knot in July 2019. So, in other words, Katharine and David can definitely keep a secret if they are, in fact, on The Masked Singer. As for the evidence, the two are musically talented and have performed together multiple times with David on piano and Katharine doing vocals. It’s a sight similar to Banana Split getting up on The Masked Singer stage.
What’s more, one of the Banana Split characters is seen tap dancing in the Instagram post above, much like Katharine has done for David in the past. Lastly, back in mid-June, David posted an Instagram photo of himself and Katharine as animated characters and captioned it “🎼Split personalities.”
