Barbie's Simu Liu makes light of injury in inspired Halloween costume
Barbie and Shang-Chi star Simu Liu has made light of his recent injury with an inspired costume to celebrate Halloween.
The star recently tore his Achilles tendon, and used his state of recovery to go "method" when celebrating the holiday.
In a post on Instagram, Liu unveiled his costume, dressing up as NFL player Aaron Rodgers, who is also recovering from the same injury.

"Ya boy went a little too method this Halloween," wrote Liu in the caption. "I know this might seem like a very low-effort costume on the surface but I assure you the commitment was absolute. I got the stitches to prove it!
"Thanks @allison for driving us to 6am surgery and being by my side the whole time. Here's to a speedy recovery for me and @aaronrodgers12 #noachillesnoproblem."
Liu played a version of Ken in Barbie, which smashed a heap of box office records to become the highest-grossing film of the year so far, with its success taking into the top 15 in the all-time list.
Director Greta Gerwig recently spoke about both the critical and commercial success, saying: "It's been incredible. I was invited to go on this journey. Margot Robbie came to me and said 'do you want to write this?'. She was the producer and star.

"They put together this incredible team of people, and the process of making it was such a joy. I went around theatres, stood in the back, and turned up the volume if I felt it wasn't playing at the perfect level - it was the most thrilling thing," she added, before talking about the prospect of a sequel.
"At this moment, it's all I've got. I feel like that at the end of every movie, like I'll never have another idea and everything I've ever wanted to do, I did."
Barbie is in cinemas and available now to buy or rent on Prime Video, Microsoft Store, Apple TV+ and other digital retailers.
