A curious home intruding bear looking for an easy bite to eat was caught in the act not once but twice by a couple living in Lund, B.C.

Gina Wood recently took to Facebook on Monday, May 23 after coming across a bear that was in the middle of raiding her kitchen pantry.

The hungry animal reportedly sampled a few potatoes, tortilla chips and even a bit of coconut sugar before washing it all down with some water from the dog bowl.

“This Lundie thinks it’s time to start locking doors,” she wrote.

But a locked door evidently wasn’t enough to deter this particularly peckish intruder. As CTV News reports, it was only a few days later when Wood’s husband Alan came home to find the bear once again exploring their kitchen, and this time they have the photos to prove it.

Photos of the second incident show the bear casually perched on top of the Lund’s kitchen counter and making itself right at home.

“This time our doors were closed and the little bastard still got in,” she wrote.

Luckily, the bear was easily persuaded to carry on its way after being caught in the act for the second time.

“My husband left our front door open and opened the kitchen door from the outside and the bear ran out the front door,” Wood told CTV.

But how did the clever bear get inside for the second time?

In a comment on her Facebook post, Wood explained that the bear seemed to sneak its way in through their home’s dog door.
