Beaver invades dollar store in search of a Christmas tree
A particularly busy beaver got a head start on its Christmas shopping after waltzing into a store to check out the latest holiday merchandise.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff Office was called to the scene of a local dollar store in Charlotte Hall, Maryland after a beaver walked through the front door and started damaging property, The New York Post reports.
In a series of photos posted to the sheriff’s office Twitter account, the festive critter can be seen roaming the aisles and even inspecting a row of artificial Christmas trees. Whether it was looking for something to decorate its dam with, or just a bite to eat still remains unclear.
