Being in space changed astronaut's gene expression, but not his genes

Contrary to earlier reports that a year in space had changed astronaut Scott Kelly's DNA from his twin's, later reporting revealed that such was not the case. What did change was his genetic expression, which is shaped by the environment a human finds itself in. Kelly's genetic makeup was similar to what mountain climbers or scuba divers undergo, according to a NASA spokesperson who wanted to set the record straight.
