Best Celebrity Valentine's Day 2020 Instagrams

“I look at today as a reminder to smell the roses, to love while we’re here.”

Ah, Valentine’s Day. Love it or hate it, the heart-filled holiday has certainly been all over our social media feeds this weekend, with people making IG tributes to their significant others, best friends, pets, and, of course, plenty of celebrations of self-love too.

Lots of celebs got in on the mushy action, taking part in the obligatory modern-day February 14th trend of honoring their own Valentines on IG. Couples like Justin and Hailey Bieber got sentimental about their love, while others (ahem Gigi and Zayn) used the Hallmark holiday to make things a little more IG official.

But Valentine’s Day isn’t always about romantic love, and several stars reminded us of the importance of loving yourself, too. Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and Alicia Keys all kept it real with sentimental IG posts about self-love and appreciating the moment — a sentiment that’s worth carrying throughout every other day of the year, too.

Ahead, check out some of the sweetest celeb Valentine’s Day moments, from the Jonas Brothers to Halsey — and then some!

Justin and Hailey Bieber

Hailey shared some cute snaps of her and the Biebs getting silly at the arcade, while Justin opted for a chic ‘gram of his wife, writing: “My forever valentine.”

Kylie Jenner

In addition to an elaborate Valentine’s Day brunch (featuring Stormi’s favorite Trolls), Kylie’s house was legit covered in flowers. As one does!

Halsey and Evan Peters

Looks like Halsey’s petition to get Evan Peters to date her has definitely worked. According to the singer’s IG post, life is currently going “swimmingly.” Oh, and about that cute bikini Halsey's sporting? She's rocking the Harper Bikini Top and Rosemary Bikini Bottom by L*SPACE. You're welcome!

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik

After a whole lot of speculation as to whether or not Gigi and Zayn are officially back together, the model quipped “hey Valentine” on a pic of the singer-songwriter on her disposable film account. We think that might have cleared a few things up.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Joe didn’t need a whole lot of words to show how he feels about Sophie; he opted for a red heart emoji instead.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

Nick and Priyanka never shy away from showing their love on social media, and Valentine’s Day was no exception. “My Valentine,” Nick wrote alongside a photo of the two stars embracing.

Kevin and Danielle Jonas

Rounding out the JoBros V-Day tributes are Kevin and Danielle, and they included their daughters as well. “I love two see how much love they have for [their] Daddy,” Danielle wrote. “They are so proud of you and need you. You are an amazing caring Dad and I couldn’t ask for more for our babies!”

Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo

Bella shared video footage of Benjamin surprising her with a ton of roses — and she was naturally dressed in all pink for the occasion. “So lucky to share my life with this amazing young woman.. there will never be enough flowers for me to show how much I care about you,” Benjamin wrote in a post of his own.

Miley Cyrus

Always one to get as festive as possible, Miley shared a video filled with Valentine’s Day themes like oversized stuffed bears, flowers, and hearts. “Happy V-Day! Love yourself!” she reminded her followers.

Barack and Michelle Obama

The former President and First Lady shared their love for one another (and their daughters) in two separate post son the ‘gram. “Happy Valentine’s Day to my forever dance partner,” Barack Obama wrote. Pretty sure I have something in my eye right now.

Brenda Song

Valentine’s Day is a good excuse as any to make a pun. “Hoppy Valentine’s day everyone!” Brenda wrote alongside her post for the holiday.

Lady Gaga

In one post, Mother Monster showed off a Bea Åkerlund x Klarna ring before writing an important message of self-love. “As we all celebrate love today, I put this ring on my own finger as a sign of my love for myself and for my fans — and a reminder that we are all born superstars,” she wrote. She also celebrated her BF Michael Polansky with a sweet selfie.

Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne

The two actors shared a kissing selfie while also shouting out Stand Up To Cancer’s #KissCancerGoodbye campaign.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

The always-stylish couple were perfectly coordinated in red and white for the romantic holiday.

Alicia Keys

Alicia shared a photo with a bouquet of flowers, while reminding her followers about what really matters on Valentine’s Day: “I look at today as a reminder / To smell the roses / To love while we’re here / To appreciate each other and ourselves / Our planet, our spirits / To give sweet, unexpected surprises / To be tender / To be thoughtful / To take care of you, your heart, your body, your mind / and take care of those u love.”

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle and Dwyane celebrated their love — and the love for their children — on V-Day this year.

Lili Reinhart

In a different kind of expression of self-love, Lili shared a snippet of her upcoming book in honor of the holiday.

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma

With busy schedules, it seems as though Hilary and Matthew had to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early this year, but it’s clear they had plenty of fun while doing so.

Storm Reid and Sayeed Shahidi

Last year, these two were total prom goals — and we think they’re shaping up to win Valentine’s Day, too. “Your kindness and intelligence are undeniable,” Storm wrote on Insta. “You match my drip, which is a plus. I get why you were born today of all days.”

Lea Michele and Zandy Reich

Lea and Zandy celebrated their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, and the Glee alum commemorated the moment with a sweet selfie.

Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid

A kiss can say a lot — and these adorable kissing selfies definitely convey a whole lotta love.
