Beyoncé Stuns in a Gucci Dress After Arriving Fashionably Late to the 2023 Grammys

Beyoncé was late to the Grammys because of Los Angeles traffic, but the singer made it to the ceremony, dressed to justify every second the world waited for her. The most-nominated artist at this evening’s ceremony, Bey wore a gold and silver Gucci dress. She sat next to Jay-Z when host Trevor Noah introduced her to the audience around 6:19 PM local time.

Beyoncé is up for nine awards tonight: Record of the Year (“Break My Soul”), Album of the Year (Renaissance), Song of the Year (“Break My Soul”), Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“Break My Soul”), Best Dance/Electronic Music Album (Renaissance), Best R&B Performance (“VIRGO’S GROOVE”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA”), Best R&B Song (“CUFF IT”), and Best Song Written for Visual Media (“Be Alive” for King Richard).

Her Grammy appearance comes just days after she announced her highly-anticipated Renaissance World Tour, starting this May.

Right as Renaissance was released, Beyoncé revealed the project would have multiple parts and consist of three acts. Act I, Renaissance, was released in June 2022. She has not revealed when Act II is coming.

“This three act project was recovered over the pandemic,” Beyoncé wrote when introducing the triology. “A time to be still, but also a time to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgement, a place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking, a place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

She added in an Instagram post about Renaissance specifically: “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgement. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
