Bibb County deputies investigating crash on I-75 that left woman dead
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident on Interstate 75 that left a woman dead Saturday afternoon, according to a news release.
According to the sheriff’s office, a Kia Sorento and a Toyota Camry crashed around 2:12 p.m. south of Exit 153, Sardis Church Road, on I-75. The man driving the Sorento was taken to Atrium Navicent Health and is in stable condition, the sheriff’s office said. The woman driving the Camry “succumbed to the injuries she sustained.” She was pronounced dead by Coroner Leon Jones.
The woman has been identified as 23-year-old Kaitlyn Mackenzie Hermans of Fort Valley.
Investigators encourage anyone with information about the crash to call 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a fatality investigator.
