Bicyclist dies after hit-and-run crash in Fort Lauderdale, police seek driver
A bicyclist has died after being hit by a car in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday morning, police say.
At about 6:10 a.m. officers arrived at the 2000 block of West Davie Boulevard after reports of a traffic crash, according to Det. Ali Adamson.
There they found the bicyclist in critical condition but no driver. Police say the driver fled the scene.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the vehicle or driver is encouraged to contact Fort Lauderdale Police immediately.
