Bill Bailey's BBC show axed after one season
Bring the Drama, the BBC reality show presented by comedian and Strictly Come Dancing winner Bill Bailey, has been cancelled.
The show followed eight aspiring actors as they tried to break into the competitive TV industry, with famous faces like EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy popping in to give them some mentoring and casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry issuing them various tasks across the weeks.
TV Zone first reported that the show won't return for a second run, while a BBC spokesperson told The Sun: "There are no current plans for another series of Bring the Drama on the BBC."

Bill hasn't spoken about the show's cancellation on social media at the time of writing. A lot of his recent Instagram posts have been showcasing some of the stunning locations that the newest series of Master Crafters has been filming at, so it won't be too long before we see him on-screen again.
He's also been busy gigging lately, with shows at the Wilderness Festival and the Underneath the Stars Festival set for this weekend.
We at Digital Spy were mixed on Bring the Drama, appreciating where it was coming from but not finding it all that enjoyable to watch.

"Bring the Drama is coming from a place of warmth and kindness while also pointing to the lofty, seemingly unscalable walls encircling showbiz. Hopefully, it does prove to be a jumping-off point to bigger and better things for its candidates," our review reads.
"While it may not be the best format reality TV has to offer, neither is The Apprentice really any good anymore, and at least this doesn't leave a sour aftertaste. Perhaps the way to solve all of this over at the Beeb is to plonk Bailey and Hendry into the boardroom's swivel chairs instead."
Bring the Drama is still available on BBC iPlayer.
