Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have made their split Instagram-official.

On May 22, the 62-year-old country singer filed for divorce from Firerose after less than a year of marriage, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

As of June 11, the exes have also unfollowed each other on Instagram — though their feed posts with each other remain.

On April 12, Firerose marked six months of marriage to Cyrus on Instagram.

"6 months ago I married this man. 🤍 Life isn’t always easy… but it sure helps when your husband’s also your best friend. Thank you Lord! 🤍," she wrote at the time, alongside photos from their wedding day.

On April 19, the "She's Not Cryin' Anymore" singer shared a selfie with Firerose on Instagram and captioned the post "so much to be grateful for."

In the court documents, Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for divorce. He also requested an annulment on the grounds of fraud.

TMZ was first to report the news.

Cyrus and Firerose — who started dating in 2022 — were friends for years before they began writing songs together during the COVID-19 pandemic. They got engaged in 2022 and tied the knot in October 2023.

"10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony," they wrote in a joint Instagram post at the time. "It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined."

The pair released their latest track "After the Storm" in March and spoke to PEOPLE about how its hopeful meaning resonated with them.

"Only by the grace of God did I survive my darkest nights. There is so much truth in these lyrics and it’s my purpose to help others find strength in their toughest hours," Firerose said at the time.

In August 2023, the pair appeared on Good Morning America and spoke about their relationship.

“We’re kind of like… It’s a peanut butter and jelly,” said Cyrus. “I’m a left-handed singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she’s a trained orchestral musician…”

Firerose added, "It has been a beautiful whirlwind and I’m just so grateful that I get to live my dreams every day with the love of my life."
