Blake Lively Is Piling On the Florals on the “It Ends with Us” Press Tour: See Her Lily Bloom-Inspired Looks

From her $19K floral jeans to her Lady Deadpool catsuit, here's how the actress is paying homage to Lily Bloom through fashion

Blake Lively is the queen of method dressing. Period.

The multi-hyphenate, 36, has been honing the skill way before her Hollywood comrades. In fact, she was doing it as early as 2018, when she committed to tailored suits while doing promo for A Simple Favor.

Now that Lively, who takes pride in being her own stylist, is heading back to the big screen for It Ends with Us (out Aug. 9), she's curated a whole new wardrobe for the press tour, which kicked off back in June at Book Bonanza.

Lively leads as florist Lily Bloom and in honor of her eclectic style, the actress has been wearing all the floral-inspired looks imaginable (Bloom, flowers — get it?) and planting Easter eggs into her outfits (Ryan Reynolds wasn't wrong when he called his wife a "hyper obsessive detail addicted," star).

"I tend to dress like my characters when I'm doing a movie because fashion is always the way in. I tend to dress like the character because I fall in love with whatever that is," Lively recently told PEOPLE.

Floral Beading

Lively kicked off the press tour in Grapevine, Texas, where she attended the June 14 Book Bonanza event in her first Bloom-themed look — a black Balmain minidress with sheer sleeves and colorful flower-inspired beading.

She left the first few buttons undone, which revealed her bandeau underneath, and completed the outfit with sparkly Christian Louboutin heels.

Flower-Inspired Cutout Jeans

For a screening of It Ends with Us in Grapevine, Texas, on June 15, Lively threw on a classic white tank top, denim stilettos and a $19,000 Valentino jeans covered in flower-shapes cutouts. The pants, as revealed by Lively, were also a nod to her crew from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (talk about an epic crossover).

Garden Confection

While in New York City's Upper West Side on July 31, Lively opted for a whimsical Dauphinette design featuring a multicolored and multitiered feather skirt. The sleeveless bodice also had playful motifs of fairies and musical notes on it.

Being the jewelry maximalist she is, Lively wore tons of Lorraine Schwartz accessories, including her beaded drop earrings. Christian Louboutin pastel pumps were the perfect finishing touch.

More Garden Glam

The same day, Lively stepped out in a vintage Vivienne Westwood halter dress from 1994 covered in a romantic garden print that she, again, paired with Christian Louboutin pumps, Lorraine Schwartz bling and a coordinating mani, which according to celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein, was meant to depict a "micro floral garden party."

Serena van der Woodsen would most definitely approve.

Tropical Beading

For a third round of press junkets in N.Y.C. on July 31, Lively was all smiles in another Dauphinette ensemble. This time, she wore the eye-catching Chinoiserie minidress designed with beaded botanical motifs that required over 300 hours of sewing. What really tied everything together was her Judith Leiber mushroom purse.

Lady Deadpool Meets Lily Bloom

Even when she stepped out for the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in N.Y.C., her Lady Deadpool Versace catsuit had a hint of Lily Bloom flair.

“I had a theme, I had an angle, and all the embroidery on the catsuit was flowers, so I was still honoring Lily,” she told PEOPLE.

The Miniest Mini

Lively switched up her florals for the Deadpool & Wolverine afterparty, wearing a blue and red Balmain mini with bright red heels.

A Splash of Color

Not even the New York City rain could dampen Lively's parade of flowers! She stepped out on Aug. 3 wearing this Oscar de la Renta minidress that looked like she was wearing Lily's floral shop on her body.

Pink on Pink

For the full meta experience, Lively created Betty Blooms — a floral experience inspired by Lily Bloom — in partnership with her brands Betty Buzz and Betty Booze along with Starbright Floral Design New York. She celebrated it on Aug. 3 in a Lily-approved look consisting of a Dauphinette dress, top and belt, topped with a matching coat by Péro. She completed her look with Malone Souliers pumps in a matching vibrant pink hue.

She's Got the Blues

For an outing in New York on Aug. 3, Lively went full blue jean baby with floral denim and a blue floral top, all by Chanel. She matched the look with a crysal-covered flower crossbody bag, also by Chanel. Of course, her look was complete with Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Colorful Tights

Lively is a proud millennial, and she proved that by wearing floral tights — something she probably rocked with gusto in her youth and happily brought back for this press tour. While out in New York on Aug. 3, she wore the yellow floral tights under a red floral mini — both from Versace — and completed the look with red shoes.

A Burst of Color

There's not a color Lively will shy away from, and on Aug. 4, the actress seemingly wore every color under the sun with this Christopher John Rogers ensemble. The pants feature a bolt floral print, and they're paired with a spotted topper to balance it out.

Bedazzled Jeans

For another outing in New York on Aug. 4, Lively wore a full look from Versace. The actress and Blake Brown creator rocked a floral mesh top with bedazzled jeans. She let her ribbed bralette and logo briefs peek out from underneath.

Boss Businesswoman

Lively stepped out on Aug. 5 wearing a vintage Christian Dior skirtsuit with an all-over white flower pattern that she matched with a white Chanel flower bag and blue and white flower heels by Manolo Blahnik.

Garden Fresh

For a bolder look on Aug. 5, Lively picked this midi-length dress with an all-over floral pattern. The brightly colored flowers on the body-hugging design were interspersed with greenery for a realistic feel — and added fun!

It Has Pockets!

This look on Aug. 5 featured shorts with a matching jacket, all with a floral motif. The bright flowers practically popped off the black background of each piece, really bringing the florals to life. She completed the look with sparkly black heels.

Floral Chaps

Lily Bloom goes Western! Lively went for a Western-inspired look on the evening of Aug. 5 in these Stella McCartney floral-embroidered chaps jeans. She paired them with a rust-colored spaghetti strap tank and piled on some bangles.

Channeling Britney Spears

While not as floral as some of her other looks, Lively's look for the premiere of It Ends with Us still had a floral tinge to it. The actress wore Britney Spears' iconic Versace dress from 2002, which has some floral work on the material. She told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the New York event that the dress should be in the Smithsonian or the Met, but instead it's on her!

A Pop of Pink

For the premiere afterparty on Aug. 6, Lively changed into a pink Versace minidress with lace detailing and a gathered bodice. Her flower detail came in the form of her little pink purse.

Oversize Suit

At her first London photocall on Aug. 8, Lively wore an oversize white Stella McCartney suit with delicate floral embroidery. She opted to go sans shirt under the jacket, but did let her floral underwear peek out from her waistband.

All-White Everything

Her next London look consisted of an all-white skirt suit with a rosette-covered top. She also wore white Chanel tights and white pointed-toe heels with yet another flower on each. We think Blair Waldorf would approve of this particular look.

Plaid Suit

Next up in London on Aug. 8 was a classic suit with a twist. Lively wore a plaid three-piece suit with floral detailing. Her wide-leg pants had a modern cuff, and her jacket had a patchwork feel with floral accents. She wore pink heels and carried a matching bag to complete the look.

Floral Trench Coat

Her last look before her evening activities was a floral laser-cut Burberry trench coat, which she wore with tons of jewels and crystal-covered shoes.

Flower Power and Feathers

For the U.K. gala screening of the movie, Lively wore a Tamara Ralph Couture crystal mesh gown covered in crystal mesh petals. She topped it with a red feather coat and wore dazzling Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry.
