We have seen everything from Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement to spiders in the form of lip art, and while those are cool to look at, they do require lots of of effort to accurately re-create. But recently a YouTube account under the name Lip Art Ideas posted a blinged-out lip tutorial that not only includes the perfect look to try for New Year’s Eve but also seems pretty easy to duplicate.

On Wednesday, Lip Art Ideas shared a video titled “Easy DIY Lipstick 2017 | Perfect New Year Makeup. Part#36.” And it quickly grabbed our attention. One person left a comment praising the makeup artists’ work by noting “that is sick.”

In less than four minutes, the artist takes her lips from bare to full-out New Year’s Eve-ready. She begins the how-to by outlining her lips with an eye tint from NYX cosmetics using a small makeup brush. Then she presses in the gold metallic with her finger. Next, she brushes on a gold highlighter as well as  glitter spilling toward the upper and lower corners of her mouth. And she places tiny gold stars and other festive gold objects such as snowmen and stencils on top of her glassy shimmer. Finally, she seals it all in with a gloss from Victoria’s Secret.

In reality, the expert behind the look, Ukraine based artist Marta, shared with Yahoo Lifestyle that the look took roughly 20 minutes to complete. “I know that it’s trendy this year, and I’ve noticed that many other girls started sharing their videos so I decided I could share mine since I’ve been working in this field for many years.”

Wondering how exactly to remove it all once everything is all said and done? “Remove it with two-phase waterproof make-up remover,” Marta suggests.

While this unique yet simple lip look may be easy to re-create, the makeup artist also has an Instagram account full of other cool lip-art looks to try. Ranging from shiny silver lips that feature Santa Claus to more elaborate sparkly bejeweled works of art, the artist’s creations show undeniable talent.

“I’ve been doing this on a daily basis and currently have 50 new tutorials,” Marta shares. “Some of them just need to be edited.” Keep scrolling to check out a few other lovely originals from her feed, and you just might be inspired to try one — or a few — soon.
