How conservative are you? Take a test to find out

Are you a closet Tory but don't know it?

What kind of conservative are you?

How conservative are you?

If you are just dying to know the answer to these questions, the Manning Centre for Building Democracy has the tool for you.

The right-leaning non-profit think-tank, founded by former Reform Party Leader Preston Manning, has developed a questionnaire that will ultimately rank your level of conservatism and tell you what type of conservative you are.

"We thought it would be interesting for people that are conservative to compare themselves to other conservatives and create a typology," Olivier Ballou, Director of Communications for the Manning Centre told Yahoo! Canada News.

The 'quiz', written by Conservative insider Stephen Taylor, and Carleton University professor Andre Turcotte, asks respondents to indicate the extent to which they agree or disagree with a conservative statement.

One of the statements, for example, is: "Environmental problems will be solved by market-driven solutions."

Once you complete the 15 questions, you'll be labeled a "traditionalist," a "free marketer," or a "libertarian."

Those who obtain above average scores are dubbed "general conservatives," and those who receive below average scores are called "weak conservatives."

You can even compare your results to the results of high profile conservatives on the Manning Centre's Facebook page.

According to Ballou, the test has been live for one week and has already had about 1,000 respondents.
