Harper blunders, Trudeau unimpressive in House of Commons faceoff
Justin Trudeau made a rare appearance in the House of Commons, on Thursday. (He, like his Liberal leadership colleagues are travelling across the country to campaign.)
For a change, Trudeau took the lead question for his party — an honour usually bestowed upon party leaders.
You'll notice, in the video, Trudeau is reading the question from his notes and his delivery wasn't that great. The Twitterverse noticed as well:
Justin Trudeau read his question word for word during QP today. A drama teacher can't memorize his lines? #justsaying #cdnpoli

Sounds like Trudeau choked on a scripted question & isn't ready to lead. @mhallfindlay needed!@colin_m_brown @pmharper#lpcldr #cdnpoli — J Hanlan (@HanlansPoint) March 7, 2013
Wow I thought I saw a ghost in question period today, however, it was just Justin Trudeau. Way to memorize your notes btw. #cpc

For his part, Stephen Harper wasn't Mr. Smooth either, twice calling Trudeau a minister.
No worries though; both gentleman will have the opportunity to redeem themselves.
There will be many many more battles between Harper and Trudeau.
