Wherever Amanda Bynes is at this moment — whether she's sleeping on a sofa outside Bloomingdale's or primping her boldly colored locks for her next selfie — she can breathe a sigh of relief.

The troubled retired actress, 28, will not be charged in her latest arrest on suspicion of DUI from September. However, Bynes is not completely free and clear: She still faces a possible probation violation.

"As you know, she is currently on probation to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for a 2012 DUI out of Beverly Hills," spokesman Frank Mateljan told E! News. "The matter was referred yesterday. No further action [in our office] is scheduled on this matter."

Just when we thought that Bynes, who said last year that she suffers from bipolar disorder, had turned her life around after a really bad two years, she was arrested Sept. 28 for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. That set off another bad chain of events, including a shoplifting incident, being put on (another) involuntarily psychiatric hold, and then having nowhere to live while feuding with her parents.

Since then, things seem to have calmed down — at least publicly. She sporadically posts Twitter updates, from announcing her intentions of attending University of Southern California to posting a Christmas message. Her most recent post was a bright eyed selfie on Jan. 13.

May the rest of 2015 be filled with good news for the struggling star.
