Flashback Friday: Angelina Jolie’s teen model past

Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous people in the world, but back in her teenage years, the "Maleficent" star cut her teeth on modelling.

In 2010, several photos from the 38-year-old actress's first ever modelling shoot went up for sale. The images, taken by photographer Harry Langdon, showed a 15-year-old Jolie posing in various outfits, including a leopard print dress and short shorts.

The photos may seem a bit racy for a young teen, but Jolie recently told ELLE that she realized very young "that a life where you don't live to your full potential, or you don't experiment, or you're afraid, or you hesitate, or there are things you know you should do but you just don't get around to them, is a life that I'd be miserable living, and the only way to feel that I'm on the right path is just to be true to myself, whatever that may be, and that tends to come with stepping out of something that's maybe safe or traditional."

Also in 2010, photos surfaced of the Oscar winner at 16 modelling various swimsuits for another photographer, Sean McCall. This may have helped her land a job as a model for JC Penney which featured her in a prom ad when she was 17:

Though she has since established herself as a Hollywood heavy weight, Jolie's modelling days helped her prepare to play a model (one of her early roles was as supermodel Gia Carangi in the 1998 biopic "Gia," for which she won a Golden Globe) and become the face of famous fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and St. John.
