A nice cuddle is known to have many benefits, like lowering your blood pressure and decreasing anxiety. And now, it can also be an easy way to pad your wallet.

There are cuddle parties meet-ups around the world, a cuddling studio and freelance cuddlers. And now the cuddle community is expanding to include a web site that connects people who need a cuddle with people who are willing to be cuddled – for a price.

On Cuddleup.com, those wanting to get paid to cuddle – known as cuddlers – create a profile that states their city, age, ethnicity, height, body type and astrological sign, as well as how much they charge an hour. They’re also welcome to include a little blurb about themselves, which generally includes a reason why they’re on the site. (“I have much experience, since this is very important in my culture,” and “I’ve been cuddling on the amateur circuit for a while now and I think it’s time to turn pro,” for example.)

Cuddlees – those wishing to pay for the service – can browse through hundreds of profiles based on location, age and gender. The website’s video states that the cuddling can take place at either the cuddler or cuddlee’s home, in public or even on a vacation.

Cuddleup.com touts that it offers “innocent companionship” and allows all parties to “enjoy the emotional rewards of a cuddle with no strings attached.” Participants have to be of legal age and it is advised that payment is presented in an envelope within the first minute of meeting.

No word on who chooses to be the big or little spoon.
