Bacon sundae being tested at Nashville Burger King

Sweet potato fries, frozen lemonade also being tested at the one location

The Montreal creators of Epic Meal Time would be happy with the newest sundae at a Burger King in Tennessee.

A Nashville location is featuring a bacon sundae and it even has a bacon strip. From the picture, sent in by a tipster to GrubGrade, it appears to be vanilla ice cream with chocolate drizzle, sprinkled with bacon chunks and a full bacon strip sticking out of the cup.

According to Gothamist, as of now it is only being tested in the one location in Nashville. They say they have started a letter-writing campaign to make it nationwide.

Burger King is not the first to experiment with a bacon-flavoured treat. Jack in the Box released a bacon shake in February and for a short time Denny's had a maple bacon sundae.

Even if you don't live in Nashville, there are plenty of other unhealthy dishes at fast food restaurants. Topping the list is Cold Stone Creamery's PB&C Shake that has 2,010 calories and is available at some Tim Horton's locations in Canada. Cold Stone also has a 1,250-calorie fudge shake and of course we can't forget about the Double-Down sandwich at KFC. The two fried pieces of chicken surrounding bacon, cheese and sauce may not have as many calories, but it is packed with sodium and fat.

A few weeks ago Burger King launched 10 new items to its menu to try and boost struggling sales and bring them closer to rival McDonald's.

Other items being tested at the Nashville location include sweet potato fries, a pulled pork sandwich and frozen lemonade.
